This just dawned on me. The modern horizons and commander legends sets gave us so many cards of old MtG characters that hadn’t gotten one yet, but we are not getting these kind of sets anymore for the foreseeable future.

Of course they might change their mind again in the future, but it’s kind of sad that for now it’s no longer happening with all sets being standard legal and half or more being UB.
