12 years since my last fixed gear ride, and around 8 since my last bicycle ride… but I’m back. With extra 15kg in my waist and in the worse fitness of my life hahaha
Just got myself a cheap build: Tsunami SNM100 frameset, Intro7 wheels, Easton EC50 components, Legend crankset, and my trusted Time ATAC XS Absalon pedals.
I don’t commute anymore - remote worker, work from home - so I use it for sport rides… even if they are quite short rides by now hahaha I need to work a lot to gain what I’ve lost along the last decade of absolute sedentarism. Not easy at my age, almost 50yo, but still enjoying a good ride.
My height calls for a size 54 but my legs are relatively short so I got a 52 better. That’s the reason my stem is pointing to the sky and the handlebar is a bit upwards - I need to work on my lost flexibility before setting it “correctly”. And due to the many-years-long hiatus I setup a front brake (a basic Sora caliper) just for extra confidence.
By now I’m just doing short rides to re-gain a bit of stamina. As I live in Thailand I can only ride very early morning - it’s NOT funny to ride during the day at 35°C and 55-65% humidity.
Any encouragement will be very well received :D
[Sorry for the sht photo, at that time in the morning the sun was in the wrong place hahaha]
