Club Dread (2004) didn’t get very positive reviews when it came out, but I loved it and thought it was hilarious. It has some extremely creative scenes, some hilarious bits, and Bill Paxton as Coconut Pete, extremely bitter about Jimmy Buffet’s success (“He’s a son of a son of a BITCH!”). I get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but for me, it’s a hell of a fun watch.
Pro-tip: the theatrical release in this instance is superior to the “director’s cut.” It just moves better and is not as self-indulgent. Your mileage may vary, though.
