There’s also a screen that says “Build a deck using valid cards from your collection, including cards from the upcoming expansion, and earn more new cards!”
Format: Constructed / “Slimmest Standard.” That means cards from the upcoming expansion, Across the Timeways (ACR); also the current expansion Lost City of Un’Goro (LCU) and its miniset, but excluding the Paladin murloc quest (Dive the Golakka Depths); and including Core Set and Event cards.
Entry Fee: Your first run is free, so when you click “Spend 2 Tickets” the first time, there’s a popup that says “your first time is on the house.” After that, each run will cost two Tavern Tickets, 300 gold, or 400 Runestones (e.g., 4 USD).
Rewards: Here’s the rewards table for each post-patch run:

- 0 wins: 1 ACR pack, 1 LCU pack

- 2 wins: 2 ACR packs, 1 random ACR common

Also for the first time, there’s an Achievement and related reward tied to the PRTB. If you manage to get a 6-win TB run during this event, you will receive two Tavern Tickets (essentially paying for your next run) plus another ACR pack, on top of the 4 packs from the normal Rewards Table. Again remember, these are one-time rewards tied to the cheevo.
History: This is the fourth time Blizzard has conducted a Pre-Release Tavern Brawl event, and the first time in about 4 months. Fingers crossed that Team 5 will keep doing these next year. 🤞
