I know this is late, but saw someone mentioning people not giving candy to trick or treaters for ‘being too old’
When I was 13 almost 10 years ago, I went trick or treating alone as a witch. My step dad just… didn’t want to go.
Anyways, the first house I ended up going to, the guy looked me up and down and said “Aren’t you a little old for this?” and he just shook his head and closed the door.
To be slightly fair, I was practically fully grown by 6th grade.
Either way though, I had actually lost my Mom that summer. So it was literally my first Halloween without her, and I already was being forced to grow up way too fast due to those circumstances. It was my last grasp at the childhood I knew I was losing. There’s already so few trick or treaters these days. Just be kind, give them the candy. Hell, I would still trick or treat as a 22 year old if it were socially acceptable. Great way to meet your neighbors.
Hope everyone had a good Halloween, and make sure to enjoy the weather this week for those of y’all that are newer here. Probably our last nice week of the year lol.
