So I was thinking. What am I realistically using after all that time.

After downloading and trying 200 apps, for me, AVP is a premium big high-end screen.

Period.

I usually pick wide, not ultrawide, no notifications, no other apps. Just the virtual display.

I immerse fully in one of the environments, sometimes my own 360 environments.

The screen is huge, clear enough, works great for my scattered mind. Helps me get into my flow much faster. I don’t feel the weigh, got used to the pressure, I love it!!

But most owners I know just didn’t get used it it.

For them it’s a movie watching device. Again, just a “big screen”.

And that’s totally enough.

I wonder, seriously, why am I wearing an entire second computer on my head if all I care for is the screen?

Sure, I’m testing Apple’s design hypothesis called “spatial computing”, and I am all in for that :)… but I would totaly prefer having a reasonably priced ($1.5k) apple headset that would just be a mac extension, with a super fat, fast and reliable super-duper cable connection to my mac.

Powering and operating two separate operating systems seems like a waste of resources. It also feels like a half-assed fusion between apple devices. Like using a doubledecker bus to pick up groceries.

I would preffer dragging stuff from my macbook around me.

That would probably feel much more integrated.
