I live in Pennsylvania….which if you don’t know, is pretty well known for paranormal activity. That being said, I wanted to share the one and only time I saw something at my grandmother’s house that I still can’t explain. I swear this story to be 100% true
When I was a kid, my cousin and I spent almost every weekend there. It was our favorite place…movies, junk food, staying up way too late. Nothing ever felt weird about that house.
We were sitting on the couch, watching a movie, when I noticed movement on the staircase. I looked up, and there was someone slowly walking up the steps.
It looked like a middle aged man….old clothes and some kind of hat. I couldn’t tell if it was straw or one of those flat formal ones. Just… old.
The way he moved didn’t make sense. It wasn’t like a person….almost like he was floating through the air. My cousin saw it too. We both froze, completely locked in place. It couldn’t have lasted more than a few seconds, but it felt like forever.
My grandparents slept in separate rooms. My grandmother downstairs near the living room, and my grandfather upstairs. When we finally moved, we ran straight to her room and shook her awake, freaking out about what we saw.
She didn’t hesitate for a second. She got up and went upstairs. My grandfather was legally blind and always had his dog with him. We would’ve heard the dog if it had been him.
She asked him if he’d been downstairs. He said no. He hadn’t heard anything. The dog hadn’t moved.
She searched the entire upstairs. Every room. Every corner……Nothing
To this day, I have no idea what we saw walking up those stairs.
