I’m interested in cutting small simple slices from chives. I plan to cut slices as finely and as straight as possible to demonstrate simple ultra high chive cutting precision.
In addition to the fine cuts, I will also need to maintain the structural integrity of the chives. It has to be low enough power not to incinerate the chives as well.
I had been considering a CNC machine with a laser cutter when I stumbled across a link for a laser engraver and now I’m wondering if there’s a machine that can do this sort of thing at a price point that I can manage.
While neither tech seems simple to me, the laser engraver seems like it might have a slightly lower chance of damaging the chives, which especially suits my needs. The only question is, is there a machine that gets this done for under $1000? Under $2000?
How capable are the desktop engravers for cutting out this sort of plant material?
