I have two children and I am a single father. The children’s mother left me over 2 years ago and I have since met the love of my life. She has 2 children of her own. We arenow engaged to be married.

My brother is getting married next year and my own mother (and both brothers) have said I am not allowed to invite the step children as they aren’t blood. There are only 100 spaces so it’s not about cost, there simply isn’t the space and they want to invite family.

Was I wrong to say that I need to go to my brothers wedding as a family of 6 or not at all?
