I am 22f and a professional Actress. I work internationally, and last week booked a job in a city about 12 hours away. When that happens, production provides accommodation which is normally a hotel room.

My agents were told I would be staying at a hotel for 3 nights, all paid for.

48 hours prior to the shoot I received my check in info; and I was at an air bnb. Called my agent, told them to specify that it was private, and production said yes. I showed up, and the air bnb I was staying at was in fact not private, and shared with 6 men I had never met. 6!!! All aged like 25-40. It was a large house and they were “gracious” enough to give me the private bedroom which didn’t even have a lock… apparently they claimed they meant I’d have a private room. To make it worse, I was hired to play a highly sexualized character, and was wearing some very revealing clothing and making out with the artist of this music video, who I was also expected to stay with in an air bnb?

I walked out, called my manager and ended up having to pay for my own hotel to stay by myself, I ended up not making a dollar from this job because I had to pay for a hotel

All the men got thanked for being “easy going” and then they basically called me a diva, and said it was rude of me to walk out. Am I crazy to not sleep in a house with 6 grown men I’ve never met? I think they are crazier for thinking that’s appropriate honestly. I didn’t feel safe especially considering nobody warned me. Also keep in mind when I showed up I could tell these men had been drinking, not that I would’ve stayed if they were sober but that made it 10x worse. The only other women on set apologized, she had no control or knew about it as she was the makeup artist but she agreed with me. Everyone else was male and thought I was being absolutely ridiculous and called me rude when I said I felt unsafe
