Hello

I bought the following switch

and a RJ45 transceiver -

I want to buy a 10gb network card that it low’ish’ power, doesnt get as hot as a furnace and makes use of the 10gb SFP uplink port on my switch. I heard many good things about mellanox connectx cards but not really sure what would be a good cheap option for me.

The card should be PCIe x4 (although it’s an open slot so can take an x8+) that’s the slot I have spare on my board. I could rejig my layout to accomodate an x8/x16 if x4 wont cut it if I really have to. It should also be able to display it’s temperature in linux/sensors so I can keep check on it.

Recommendations please.
