I’ve (20F) only been with my partner (23M) since around June, but oh my god, the communication we had last night was incredible!!

We were on a phone call to catch up about our days (I work retail so I didn’t have my phone on me all day, he had a day off but was with family); the topic of Pokémon was brought up, a favourite franchise for the both of us!

While talking about our favourite games we’ve played, I mentioned I needed to buy a new charger for my 3DS to play the games I have on it, and he jumped into problem solving mode, offering to lend me his until I could buy a new one, or give me his and he’d buy a new one for himself.

I explained I just have a habit of complaining and I wasn’t in a rush to play them immediately, and I just wanted to vent about how it was frustrating I’d managed to lose my last few chargers

I was astounded when he respected that and just told me to let him know when I’d purchased a new one so we could go through our old saves together! And he even acknowledged he tried to just solve the problem instead of letting me vent and go from there!

I’m so glad I can finally find healthy communication in a relationship!
