I (16m) work at an ice rink. I do competitions for skating so I basically have to go everyday anyways. Because of that even before I applied for a job there I knew all the staff who worked there, including a girl, Sarah, (now 19f) who joined 2 years ago. We’re friends because we have to talk during work and I knew her beforehand anyways, but we aren’t particularly close.

A few months ago I wanted to leave work early for something (not really important to what happened) she covered my workload. I was really greatful because my manager wouldn’t have let me leave early if she hadn’t done so, but she said it was no big deal and I just owed her one after that.

Recently, she got into trouble. Usually there’s 3 people on duty watching if people fall etc etc but someone else was sick, so it was just us two. So what happened is that Sarah has a tiktok account where she posts skating stunts and stuff, and she was filming when she crashed into someone and got them injured.

When my manager found out he was so pissed off. He said she shouldn’t even be posting tiktok’s at work anyways and just straight up fired her. Sarah was devastated and after the manager left, she asked me to help take the fall with her and say it was my idea to do the stunt. I was surprised because like why would I? And she said it was for the shift she covered for me last time. I was really hesitant because I didn’t wanna lose my job but she kept assuring me that nobody would get fired if both of us shared the blame. In the end, I still said no. She got really mad and cursed me out, and the next few days kept texting me about it until I blocked her.

I don’t really know if what i did was wrong, because some of the staff are on my side, and others are giving me the cold shoulder. So AITA?
