I’m switching to a new laptop and going through the usual process that comes with that, and I was just wondering if it’s really worth it to get office right now.

I mean, I do mostly graphic design on my pc, so if I have to make a slideshow or create a layout for a document I’m gonna use InDesign anyway. For everything else I usually go with the Google suite, docs, sheets and all that. Which to my knowledge should all be compatible with files from their Office counterparts.

So yeah, maybe it’s a dumb question, but I was just wondering if Microsoft Office is worth getting considering the existence of the Google suite and InDesign. Maybe there are a thousand vital features in Office that I’m not aware of, in that case you’re free and encouraged to insult me, anyway thank you in advance for sharing your recommendations.
