Hello,
I am looking for an ATX Z690 or Z790 mainboard. Currently i am looking at the Asrock Z790 Pro RS/D4 (due to 8 SATA ports) or the Gigabyte Z690 Gaming.
CPU will be a i5 13500.
Is DDR5 speed difference noticeable compared to DDR4? If not id rather stick to a DDR4 board. Also I want to optimize the system to reduce energy consumption to a minimum. Hence, I want to rely on the build in SATA Ports if possible to reach deep sleep states.
Currently, I am using 2 4 TB WD Red 5400 rpms and 2 16 TB Toshiba MG08 drives. I am planing to extend the HDDs with two additional Toshiba Drives in the near future.
Which Mainboard would you recommend?
EDIT: PSU is going to be a Seasonic Focus PX 650W. In this test it reached 94% efficiency at 154 watt load. I hope i will see some similar efficiency in a even lower wattage area. Does anybody have any experiences with that PSU?
