I currently work at a well-known restaurant chain. But I’ve kind of reached my limit with the many issues over the last little while. It all came to a head when, on a slow day, my manager asked me if I wanted to leave early. I had some things to do so I said yes. Then he tells me that a couple other girls want to go home and that we could decide who gets to go in a fair way. I agreed. Long story short it ended up being a game to see who could finish a plate of beans with their hands behind their back the fastest. I am so embarrassed at myself for participating. All I can think of is how disgusting those beans were and the customers hooting and hollering as I ate them like a dog and even licked the plate clean. And it got busier and the manager changed his mind and said that actually no one could go home. What I didn’t realize was that it was being filmed and got posted to our local company facebook page. It has over 30 comments and I feel physically ill just thinking about it. It’s the most humiliating thing that’s ever happened to me.
