I have been married to my husband for almost 10 years now and I would like to think that we are very close. We met during graduate school and have been together ever since. Last night we were talking about our college experiences, and how college will be much different for our kid. While we were chatting, I casually told him that when I was sophomore in college I came across an ad for a porn company and that they were willing to pay 1500 dollars for a single video so I signed up for it and managed to get selected. I also told him that it was a one time thing and that the website isn’t active anymore.

However he looked horrified and told me that I broke his trust. Even though I insisted that it was a one time thing, he is currently at his parent’s house with our kid and I am being called an asshole along with a lot of other things by my in-laws. So AITA?

Edit: I just wanted to add that it was NEVER my intention to hide anything. We’ve never discussed the topic of sex work in detail and my husband is usually very supportive of issues regarding women. I did not think that it would be a big deal for him.
