Hello Blursed community,

Last night the mod team voted and reached a decision to extend our blackout to indefinite. It is not a decision we take lightly, but we feel now that it is necessary following the poor AMA, as well as two days being a short enough period of time for Reddit to simply grit their teeth and ignore it. We will return when we believe that Reddit has properly addressed concerns.

Several members on our team use third party apps to moderate, as is the case with many other subreddits. Along with this, many Reddit users simply rely on third party apps to navigate Reddit due to issues with the official app.

One more factor contributing to this decision is that the bots we and other subreddits use to moderate have also joined in on this protest, many indefinitely, and these are bots we rely on to do our job efficiently and effectively. We stand with these developers and their decision to protest. Given how Reddit has handled this situation, there is no amount of reassurance that can be given to these developers about their API access that can make them comfortable. We believe change and accountability is necessary.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may bring.

This shutdown will begin June 12th at midnight, UTC-0.
