Original Title: Software with good quality in categorizing or searching in photos? Not sure if there’s something like this (e.g. search for “Door” and shows all photos which the software thinks contain doors). And/or has good quality in face recognition and category recognition (Food, Outdoor, Person A)

Hi everyone,

I’m glad to see so many photo library management software are available in the open source field. Especially this list has been helpful.

I’m not sure about the specific term for this function I’m looking for is called. I have a lot of stock photos which I take as my own design database. For example I found a lot of amazing door designs while traveling in Barcelona, therefore I have loads of photos of simply doors.

Can any existing tool can already do this well? Or is this something more of a deep-learning coding project?

Even normally seen categorization such as food, outdoor, person function seen in normal photo libraries like Google Photos (not open source) can also be helpful for me, so all suggestions are welcomed.

I’m exploring Immich, Librephotos, and Nextcloud in parallel. But happy to hear about your thoughts.

Thank you very much for your tip!
