The names “Sally” and “Mae” aren’t nearly as popular for a reason…

The U.S. Supreme Court recently struck down student loan forgiveness earlier this summer, and we’re feeling the brunt of it.

According to a CNBC survey, more than 65% of women borrowers say their debt has negatively affected their mental health.

“What we hear from women is oftentimes, ‘I went to grad school because I needed to make up for the gender pay gap.’ Or, ‘I went because I’m a woman of color, and I’m often paid less than my white and male counterparts.”

We’re not only trying to outpace the gaps, but we’re doing it with less family support—50% of households with only boys saved for college, compared to just 35% with only girls.

All this to say, you’re far from alone.
