Hi!

I’m looking for ways to create minimalistic map illustrations.

What I’d like to do is;

• choose which streets and towns are shown
• include some (simplified) terrain
• choose the color-palette etc.
• best case: include (simplified) gpx-tracks

I get that the illustration part might have to be done in something like Inkscape and I’m totally fine with that, but I’d like to have an actual map as a starting point.

So alternatively to an all-in-one solution; does anyone know a tool where you can export map data (e.g. outlines of a county, streets, terrain shading…) as .svg or similar?
