Hello!

I’m having a strange issue with my device, particularly when running more demanding games, and I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced something similar or had some advice.

Specifically, my battery life drops dramatically when playing high-end games like Final Fantasy XV or Death Stranding. The issue isn’t consistent, but when it does occur, it’s quite alarming. For example, my battery percentage has dropped from 38% to 5% in just 2 minutes while playing. I keep my settings to 40fps and 40hz refresh rate, but it doesn’t seem to help.

I’ve reached out to Steam Support, and they’ve suggested the usual troubleshooting steps, like adjusting in-game settings and performing a battery drain test. However, the problem persists. The Steam support also asked about how long the battery lasts on average while playing these titles.

To clarify, I can play these games for a decent amount of time under normal circumstances. However, there are instances where the battery drains unusually fast. This doesn’t always happen, but it does occur and it’s concerning.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m considering pressing the issue further with Steam Support, but I wanted to check if anyone else in the community had some advice before I did.

Thank you in advance for your help!
