How many jobs do you see Chimpanzees doing for us? Gorillas are probably great at construction? Maybe lemurs are good for going under the house? Well no obvious no to all. Because they are simply not as smart as an actual human and aren’t capable of doing thus jobs.

This will be the same for us. I believe if in the long run AGI is made than AI will exponentially increase in intelligence for a multitude of reasons. One if AI today is already improving than millions if not billions of equally intelligent AIs where to focus solely on making AI better it will obviously increase exponentially.

So as long as AGI is reached humans will be far out paced. This is commonly the intelligence explosion which given AGI or even just general self improvement would basically be a guarantee to occur.

So granted all of that I doubt an AI will require monkey level intelligence at least relative to AIs intelligence. Just like we dont require monkey level intelligence relative to us.

So obviously why the hell would humans need to work at all. Monkeys and Great Apes don’t work for us, and if AI will essentially be infinitely more capable than us, how is it even feasible to think we are useful at all.

In all I think most of these arguments fail when they assume AI won’t reach an intelligen explosion after a sufficient enough level. We are already seeing parts of AI to be capable of self improving so I believe with more power and money put into LLMs like Gemini, GPT 5, antrhopic next model, etc. I can easily see these small self improving aspects grow exponentially.

Well we should wait a little more than a year till we see all of these comes out. If they make great strives towards GPT I believe my ideas is correct. Inevitably ALL jobs will be taken by AI. Just like we took (not really) all jobs from monkeys.
