TW: mention of sexual assault

We were watching Sex education on Netflix and he said he can’t believe Aimee’s SA experience would happen in real life*. I said I can imagine, because I had a similar event happen to me when a guy rubbed his erect penis to me on a crowded bus. I’ve told this story to him before, he said he can’t remember and that was the end of the conversation. I brought it up again and asked him why didn’t he say anything else and he was confused didn’t know what I wanted him to say. He’s asked me what happened and if I’m sure it that’s what happened. I got really upset at this point. I’m so confused, I don’t think he thinks I’m lying or anything, he just can’t imagine someone would actually do this in public but still it feels so invalidating and like it’s not a big deal. I don’t think the event caused me trauma or anything but I would like him to understand that it could be traumatic.
