To start, I am not an AI hater, I’m a big fan of tech progress. But this is one of the least exciting parts of it to me.

Even if you can create movies that look photorealistic, you lose all the intentional story telling and handcrafted elements. Also entertainment is already damn cheap. I would much rather consume content made by humans or made using AI powered tools by an actual human than something just made by a prompt.

If it’s AI adult films we are talking about, also, people are going to give themselves ED. Porn addicts already have a hard time keeping it up, if you serve people exactly what they want to see on tap all the time, it erodes their chances of real intimacy.

The way I see it, when video generation gets really good, it may be something fun to play around with, the same way I can spend a good hour or 2 on midjourney, but it’s not going to be a replacement for actual human crafted content.
