Just upgraded to iPhone 15 pro max. Did a direct iPhone to iPhone restore. imessage is not indexing correctly. Can’t search old messages. Photos and links in iMessage conversations under the info tab do not appear, although when I scroll through the convo they are clearly there. I tried iMessage backup with iCloud, still no fix. Tried toggling iMessage on and off and “show content in search” but no help. Previous iOS’s/iPhones had issues with indexing but it progressed slowly. Seems it may be an iOS 17 bug but I am hoping Apple will send an update out to fix. Considering downgrading back to my old iPhone if I can’t get it to index properly because I need to search older messages and photos often. Any solution? Tried contacting Apple support and after finally talking to what seemed to be a competent CR rep, she informed me to just stay connected to wifi and it would slowly trickle in. But it isn’t at all. Any known solutions to this issue?
