Hi everyone. I am currently finishing up a 3D printing project that will be Free and Open Source, and I wanted to get some guidance on what’s needed to ensure it meets this criteria

The concept is similar to the way Gridfinity has been implemented (though it is not for a set of storage boxes/etc).

Key things to take home

• Free
• Anyone can download, print, share, modify, contribute, make their own modules
• They are also free to sell the physical prints if they want, but the source files and system itself remain free for anyone to access and make themself
• I don’t want someone to be able to claim the files as their own and somehow take legal action against me in some sort of weird IP debacle that you hear about occasionally.

My best knowledge is that if i release the files on Printables/Thangs etc and choose Open Source as the license for them, I am covered in these respects?

Is there anything else i need to provide upon release, such as a minimum amount of documentation or other licensing etc?
