With MaXXXine coming out, I’ve been trying to think of any horror trilogies where all three are considered good. They can’t be part of a larger franchise, because I want to see if there’s a trilogy where they came up with an idea, did it three times well, and never touched it again.

I love the first two Ginger Snaps, the first two Basket Cases, and the first two in the Three Mothers trilogy but then the final one in each was awful.

Anything with a remake like the It’s Alive! trilogy doesn’t count. (not that the third one is good)
