Hi Redditors,
Looking for suggestions. My brother (David Wu) spent his life as game developer. He had some real success, founded his own company (Pseudo Interactive) which published several titles, and served as CTO of Halo’s publisher 343 Industries. He was widely seen as a talent.
Tragically he passed away - young - nearly a year ago. Here is an article about his life.
He was in the midst of writing another game, something of a reboot of Ultima Online, a game he loved.
Finishing the game ourselves seems challenging or impossible. But we thought maybe we’d put his last code up somewhere and make it open source in the off chance it is useful to anyone in anyway, or if someone decides they might want to finish the game. I realize it might never be used by anyone, but it feels right.
Anyone have any suggestions? Should I put it on Github – is that easy – would that be too challenging for slightly but not really technically astute person like myself?
Edit: Also, preemptive apologies if there is a FAQ around somewhere that answers this, but I didn’t see it.
