Hey guys! I will be moving to Sweden from Lebanon soon with my 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier but I have a lot of questions even after reading up on the rules and regulations.
For starters, my dog’s passport was issued in Ukraine. This might be stupid of me but I cannot find anywhere online if that counts as a valid EU passport or if I need to fill out a form instead. My vet says it should be fine, but I need to be sure as I don’t want to risk it tbh. She is microchipped and vaccinated against rabies and her blood sample has been taken and results will arrive in a couple of months just in time for travel.
Second question is: I will be arriving in the Copenhagen airport and taking a train to Sweden from there. I’ve read that there is no option to go to the customs red lane if I opt to take a train (I don’t know how the airport works so I’m not sure if that applies in my situation). Any ideas? And my vet told me that once I’m at the customs they will ask me to register my dog with pet health insurance on the spot. Is that also a thing? Can it be done before travel?
Any help would be appreciated as this is incredibly stressful :( Would like to keep my fur baby safe and not have her suffer during this trip.
