I like to learn how to play boardgames before I buy them. There have been boardgames where I think I might or might not like it, bought it, and ended up loving it. For some reason, Spirit Island just didn’t call my attention after learning it. If I get it, what are the chances I’ll end up liking it? (Edit: Has there been an experience where the game didn’t call your attention and you ended up loving it? I love complex strategic games with replayability) What have your guys experiences been?

Edit: Thank you for all the responses.
