New-ish to the format and trying to understand why certain archetypes are good or bad. I am a tempo player at heart (spirits is my favorite deck in Pioneer), so naturally merfolk looks interesting.
However, it rarely pops up in tournament results and seems completely off the radar in terms of anyone taking it seriously. There are a few 5-0 lists here and there but that’s about it.
Is there a glaring flaw that the current meta is hostile to, or is it just underpowered in general?
