So the HOA has been resealing the roads recently in our community. Normally for the section they’re resealing they close only one side of the road so traffic can get through. They do this both on the main road and the side streets where the houses are. Our HOA is setup so there’s a main road in that goes from the front to the back gate. The houses are on all the side streets which are all circles so they meet the main road twice.
Today I got home and pulled down my street and a quarter of the waydown they’ve blocked both sides of the street. I went back out to the main road and down the other side of our street to find that again both sides of the road are closed about a quarter of the way down. Essentially preventing emergency access from getting to approximately 20-30 homes.
This can’t be legal right? I tried calling non-emergency to the sheriff and they said since it’s inside the community then it’s private property and they can do whatever they want.
What’s the play here?
