My partner “accidentally” wrote his address on the back side of his zairyu card by hand with a non erasable pen……

I assume it means the card cannot be accepted anymore and needs to be changed/corrected…right? He had to show it at the post office today and that self-written address on the back was a big deal.

Have you done this before and what should he do? The immigration office didn’t pick up the phone today, unfortunately.
